Guardamar del Segura

Enjoy wide sandy beaches such as Playa de Guardamar. It is a wide sandy beach with fine golden sand, blue flag status and a pleasant promenade, or opt for the quiet, natural Playa Moncayo, surrounded by dunes and tranquillity.

Torrevieja

In bustling Torrevieja, beaches such as Playa del Cura and Playa de Los Locos are perfect for an active day with a promenade, restaurants and a lively atmosphere. For a more relaxed experience, Cala Ferris, a beautiful bay with clear water, is highly recommended.

La Mata

Discover Guardamar: sun, sea and endless relaxation

There is always something to do in Guardamar! Whether you enjoy sports, nature or socialising, this charming coastal town on the Costa Blanca has it all.

Golf enthusiasts will feel right at home at La Marquesa Golf & Country Club, while sports enthusiasts can indulge themselves at the modern Las Rabosas or the extensive Municipal Sports Centre. There you will find an Olympic swimming pool, football and basketball courts, tennis and padel courts and even a large indoor sports hall.

Are you more of a water lover? At Las Dunas marina, you can go sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, diving or jet skiing – adventure guaranteed!

In the evening, Guardamar really comes to life. The cosy bars and restaurants create a warm atmosphere, and at the daily night market, you can enjoy local products and summer fun.
•    Location: The night market takes place in and around Reina Sofia Park.
•    Opening hours: Officially, the market opens at 5 p.m., but most of the activity doesn't start until around 6 p.m. The stalls usually close after midnight.
•    Extra: There is also a fairground especially for the little ones in a side street off Carretera a la Playa, right next to the park.

The long beaches and wonderful Mediterranean climate make Guardamar a dream location for families, nature lovers and golf fans. In this area, Spanish charm blends with relaxation, nature and fun!

Torrevieja - From fishing village to bustling seaside resort

What was once a small fishing harbour has now grown into a lively seaside resort – almost a real metropolis on the Costa Blanca. Torrevieja combines its authentic charm with a modern, cosy atmosphere that enchants visitors all year round.

An evening stroll through the town is highly recommended. Everywhere you look, you will find stalls, terraces and a lively promenade where the scent of the sea and local delicacies come together.

On Fridays, the weekly market attracts thousands of visitors. This colourful street market, one of the largest in Spain, offers everything from fresh produce to clothing and souvenirs.
• When: Every Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Where: Parque Antonio Soria, next to the Aquapolis water park and the N-332. The market is also referred to by its location, Av. Delfina Viudes.

In the evening, you can visit the craft market near the harbour. Here you will discover beautiful handmade jewellery, wood carvings from Africa and leather goods.

La Mata – Where unspoilt nature and beach fun come together

La Mata boasts one of the longest and widest beaches on the Costa Blanca, awarded the Blue Flag for quality and safety. Perfect for families, walkers and sun worshippers.

The adjacent Laguna de La Mata Nature Park offers beautiful walking and cycling trails where you can spot flamingos, birds and unusual plant species. Along the promenade you will find numerous tapas bars, fish restaurants, ice cream parlours and terraces. Unlike the busier seaside resorts, La Mata is a relatively quiet and authentic coastal village with a relaxed, local atmosphere.

We also recommend visiting the local market, one of the largest in the region. The market is held in the centre of La Mata, along Avenida de Francia and the surrounding streets, and is usually open from around 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on market day (usually Wednesday).

La Zenia - Lively coastal town with numerous shopping and leisure facilities

La Zenia is a vibrant coastal town on the popular Costa Blanca where Mediterranean life flourishes. With its beautiful beaches, welcoming atmosphere and numerous amenities, La Zenia is the ideal destination for sun lovers, families and anyone who dreams of relaxation by the sea.

The sandy beaches are among the most beautiful on the Costa Blanca. The main beach, Playa de La Zenia, offers perfect conditions for swimming, sunbathing or enjoying water sports. You can go paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking, hire jet skis or snorkel in the rocky coves around Cabo Roig. Thanks to the lifeguards and excellent facilities, the beach is also ideal for families.

The area is also home to Zenia Boulevard. This is the largest open-air shopping centre in the region with more than 150 shops including Zara, Mango, H&M, Decathlon and Primark. There are regular shows, live music and entertainment for children, as well as playgrounds, fountains and a cosy restaurant square. Perfect for a day of shopping or good food. 

La Zenia is also located in the middle of a true golf paradise. A short drive away you will find, among others:

These courses are known for their green fairways and challenging layouts.

What makes La Zenia unique is its combination of liveliness and tranquillity. You can enjoy a bustling promenade, but also quiet spots by the sea. Throughout the year, there is a friendly, international atmosphere in which everyone immediately feels at home.

Alicante – The versatile capital of the Costa Blanca

Alicante is a vibrant Mediterranean city that effortlessly combines culture, beaches and conviviality. Its lively boulevards, historical sights and beautiful coastline make it a favourite destination for visitors who want more than just sun and sea.

The city is dominated by the impressive Castillo de Santa Bárbara, a medieval castle that towers high above Alicante. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the harbour. At the foot of the hill lies the Barrio de Santa Cruz, a charming old neighbourhood with narrow streets, whitewashed houses and colourful flowers – perfect for a leisurely stroll.

Alicante offers several fine city beaches, the most famous of which is Playa del Postiguet. The wide sandy beach is right next to the city centre and has numerous amenities, restaurants and beach bars. Along the coast runs the Explanada de España, a stately boulevard with palm trees, mosaic tiles and cosy stalls.

In Alicante, you will find a mix of traditional tapas bars, modern restaurants and lively terraces. Sample local specialities such as arroz a banda or enjoy fresh fish in the harbour. Culture lovers will also find plenty to enjoy: from museums and theatres to atmospheric squares where local life bustles.

The shopping streets around the Rambla and the city centre offer a wide selection of boutiques, well-known brands and local markets. In the evening, the city comes alive with cosy bars, lounges and clubs.

Murcia – Authentic culture, green valleys and southern Spanish hospitality

Murcia is the charming capital of the region of the same name and is known for its rich history, lively squares and Mediterranean lifestyle. The city offers a perfect blend of culture, gastronomy and relaxation, and is a wonderful day trip for visitors who want to experience the real Spain.

The heart of Murcia is formed by the Cathedral of Murcia, a masterpiece of Gothic and Baroque architecture with a beautiful tower that dominates the skyline. In the surrounding streets, you will find centuries-old buildings, atmospheric squares and cosy cafés that invite you to take a break and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Murcia is brimming with culture. Visit the Museo Salzillo to admire the famous Baroque sculptures by Francisco Salzillo, or discover regional history in the Museo de Bellas Artes. Throughout the year, traditional festivals and processions take place, centred around music, dance and gastronomy.

Murcia is located in a fertile valley known as the “huerta”, where citrus trees, vegetable cultivation and palm trees dominate the landscape.
The Segura River is perfect for walking or cycling, while the nearby Sierra Espuña Natural Park offers excellent opportunities for hikers and nature lovers.

The centre of Murcia is a true paradise for shoppers, with trendy boutiques, major brands and covered markets full of local products. The city is renowned for its excellent tapas bars, with specialities such as zarangollo, caldero and all kinds of fresh local products.
